At the bottom of Mariana Trench

In March 2012 the deep descent bathyscaf of the Russian production of "Mir-2" as a members of a research group we had been able to dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the world's oceans (about 11km), which could easily "swallow" Mount Everest.

This deep was visited by a man only once, in 1960. Underwater bathyscaf «Trieste» went down about 5 hours to the lowest point of the ocean. Its passengers Jacques Piccard, Swiss scientist, and Don Walsh, Lieutenant U.S. Navy, was lucky to hold on "bottom of the world" in the cold and darkness for about 20 minutes.

Today, on the 1st of April 2012, you have the unique opportunity to be there, where the foot of man has never stepped. Despite the low quality of the image in the darkness you can see the unusual inhabitants of the underwater world.
